Colors are beautiful but can blind the eye
Sounds are beautiful but can deafen the ear
Flavors are delicious but can deaden the tongue
Fulfilling the senses, craving for all
Can drive a person mad;
Things that are rare and sought and hungered for
Can lead to intemperance
Thus the sensible seek only to satisfy simple necessities
And not the will-o'-the-wisp-
wantings of the wandering eye
