Yogis and sages have taught Yoga Nidra for thousands of years, and it is one of the deepest of all meditations that brings calmness and clarity to the practitioner. As one of the three states of consciousness, referenced in the Upanishads as waking, dreaming, and deep sleep, Yoga Nidra refers to the conscious awareness of the deep sleep state. It is beyond and more subtle than the imagery and mental processes of the waking and dreaming states, and while relaxing, it is also instrumental in soul work and as a precursor to guided visualizations. 


Five consecutive classes take the practitioner through the process of achieving Yoga Nidra while touching on key points about the process. Each class will be recorded and provided to the participants for use in the weeks between classes.
